Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

About Robert Boyd
I have no formal training in art (of any genre) and followed a career in science (Marine Zoology). Eventually I stopped going out to sea on research ships and started flying a desk in a large government scientific institute in Northern Ireland. I retired from that in late 2009. I started painting about 25 years ago and some of the paintings on my site were done around that time. I stopped painting for many years and have only taken it up again since I retired. They say you should decide on and stick to one theme - i.e. become known as a landscape or a seascape artist, or a portrait artist, etc. I think that's nonsense. I like to paint whatever interests me....
